Founded by Zisan Buga and Max Reinhardt in 2018, ZAMT is bold but
conscious, contemporary but timeless. Each piece in our collection is created
by the best European artisans using eco - friendly premium materials, from
carefully selected European suppliers, inspired and centered around our design
ideals - bold, eco and able to stand the test of time. We have a background
from fashion and architecture and share the love and fascination for beautiful
objects - sculptural, tactile, enigmatic in colour & material, unique in
terms of pattern or olfactory. Beauty and distinctiveness has plenty of facets
and adding to the beauty of the world is what drives us - but we want to do it
the right way. 

We noticed it was difficult for us to shop the items we longed for as they were
not eco, but the eco-friendly products were not desirable thus ZAMT was born.

We aim to create essential pieces that are fair and eco-friendly but do not
compromise on style. For us fair production using only eco-friendly materials
should be a given - so we really want to win you over by the designs, and not
(only) your bad conscience.

We create designs that radiate boldness through the emphasis on strong
lines and sleek minimalism. Durability in material and design is key. 

The result is conscious, timeless designs created through traditional
craftsmanship in Europe that can be loved for far longer to last you a lifetime

We love innovative shapes and smart details, fueled by our inspirations
of art and architecture, that are refined and worked into accessories that are
essential and unique. Signature curves, robust lines and a clever use of
geometric shapes to turn an ultra-graphic world vision into an accessory that
is dynamic on all counts.

Our leather comes from a third-generation family-run tannery in Tuscany
that has mastered the artisanal process of vegetable tanning using organic
tannins for a natural, environment-friendly tanning process. The hides are a
by-product of the meat industry and would, if not refined into leather
otherwise be disposed of. Our tanneries only use European hides minimizing the
negative effects of transport and guaranteeing that the raw materials are not
treated with environmentally harming conservatives such as tanning salts used
in the chrome tanning process.

The surface aesthetics of our leather such as the colors and textures
provide a unique look making the natural imperfections of the leather a
hallmark of character for the final product. 

Vegetable tanned leather is not only an eco-friendly material BUT it also
absorbs the traces of life around it, aging beautifully and developing a
priceless patina, enduring and lasting for generations.

Our favorite part of the whole process is where ideas turn into
reality. 

Our manufacturers are selected with great care, ensuring a non-exploitative
environment, fair working conditions and a love for nature and its
preservation. Respecting human rights and the abolition of child labor are
key. 

In Italy our bags are specially made by Paolo, Roberto and their team who have
mastered their craftsmanship working for the very best in the luxury
leather bag industry since the 70s.
